Hello, I am George, Coach at Man Mechanic.
I help men in midlife rebuild strength, function, and confidence so they can move through life with more freedom and less friction.
The Blueprint of a Breakdown
For years, I was the man with the hood firmly closed. On the outside, the engine sounded fine — I was hitting targets, showing up for my friends and family, carrying the weight of responsibility like it was nothing.
Underneath?
- The oil was black.
- The gears were grinding.
- I was redlining every single day.
I thought “holding it together” was the mark of a man. In reality, I was one bad day away from being left in the scrapyard.
Highs, Lows, and the Space In Between
I’ve stood on the peaks where everything looks perfect on paper.
And I’ve sat in the quiet lows – those 3 a.m. moments where stress feels like a weight on your chest and you realise you’re disconnected from the very life you built.
I didn’t need a therapist to dissect my childhood.
I didn’t need a motivational speaker shouting at me to grind harder.
I needed to pull over, lift the hood, and look honestly at the parts of my life that weren’t working.
Why I Built Man Mechanic
Many men are driving on empty because we’ve been taught that asking for help is weakness.
It isn’t.
It’s maintenance.
Man Mechanic was born from my own rebuild.
I’ve lived the full spectrum — the wins that felt hollow, the failures that felt final, and the uncomfortable truth that you can’t navigate the highs if you’re terrified of the lows.
